Every compressed air main changes direction, and in a Champion Quick-Lock system it changes direction with a nickel-plated brass elbow rather than a welded bend. This listing carries all four Quick-Lock elbow types in one place.
- 90 degree union elbow - tube to tube, both ends push fit, 14mm through 63mm. The standard corner.
- 45 degree union elbow - tube to tube, 20mm through 63mm. Two 45s around an obstruction cost less pressure than two 90s, and they are what you want where a main has to jog around a beam or a duct.
- 90 degree swivel elbow - 14mm tube to a male NPT thread, and the thread swivels so you can orient the tube after the thread is tight. Point of use work.
- 90 degree street elbow - tube to male NPT in one fitting, 20mm through 63mm, in two thread sizes per tube size. Lands a main directly onto a dryer, a filter head or a machine without a separate connector.
Choose the elbow you need from the dropdown above.

Champion does not catalog a 45 degree union elbow in 14mm, or a street elbow in 14mm. Use the 14mm swivel elbow at that size.

Pressure Drop and Why 45s Matter
Champion's published tubing flow rates assume a straight run of tube and couplings at 1 psi drop per 100 ft. Every direction change adds loss on top of that. In a system already sized close to the line, a long run full of 90 degree corners is where the pressure you paid the compressor to make quietly disappears.
Two practical rules. First, prefer a pair of 45 degree elbows over a pair of 90s when you are jogging around an obstruction. Second, pipe the main as a loop rather than a spur, which roughly doubles usable flow for the same tube and makes the corner count matter much less. If you are not sure whether your layout is costing you pressure, send it to us and we will work it out.
Ideal Applications
Corners in a main or a loop, risers from floor level up to ceiling height, drops down a wall, jogging around beams, ducts and lighting, and, with the street and swivel versions, landing the pipe directly onto a dryer inlet, a filter head, a receiver, a regulator or a machine port without adding a separate threaded connector.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a street elbow and a swivel elbow?
Both go from tube to a male NPT thread. The street elbow is a fixed body in 20mm through 63mm and is the one you use on a main. The swivel elbow is 14mm only and its thread rotates, so you can tighten the thread first and then point the tube where you want it. That is a point of use fitting.
Can I use a 90 degree union elbow as a drop take-off?
You can, but it is usually the wrong choice. An elbow terminates the run. For a branch off a continuing main you want a tee, a reduction outlet tee or a saddle clamp outlet, and you want the branch taken off the top of the main so condensate cannot run down into the drop.
Why is the 63mm 45 degree elbow more expensive than the 63mm 90?
That is what Champion's August 2026 price list publishes, and the gap is real across the larger sizes. The 45 degree body is a lower volume part. Both are listed here at Champion's current list price.
Do the elbows reduce flow much?
Each fitting adds equivalent length. One or two corners on a short drop is nothing. Twenty corners on a 300 ft spur main is a measurable pressure loss. Loop the main and the problem largely goes away.
Can I take an elbow apart and reuse it?
Yes. Loosen the compression nut one to one and a half turns, push the pipe in, pull it out. Inspect the o-ring before reassembly and replace it if it is damaged.
Do I need thread sealant on a street or swivel elbow?
On the NPT side, yes, PTFE tape or a liquid sealant rated for compressed air. The tube side seals mechanically and needs nothing but a light oil on the tube to ease insertion.
