The Champion Quick-Lock outlet manifold is a finished drop station in one part. An extruded aluminum block with a mounting bracket, one, two or four 1/2 in female NPT outlets, and your choice of inlet: a threaded 1/2 in or 3/4 in NPT connection, or a 20mm or 25mm Quick-Lock tube socket that takes the pipe directly.
Compared with building the same station out of a street elbow, a nipple, a tee and a pair of couplers, the manifold is fewer leak paths, less labor, and a tidier wall. The valved versions add an integral shutoff at the inlet, so a bay can be isolated for service without closing down the branch that feeds it.

| XCQL-MP-08 | Manifold plug, 1/2 in NPT with seal, for blanking an unused outlet | ||
Every outlet on every manifold is 1/2 in female NPT. Only the inlet and the outlet count change. Champion catalogs the inlet shutoff valve on the tube-inlet versions only; a threaded-inlet manifold is valved by putting a ball valve in the line ahead of it.
Buy the Four Port Even If You Need Two
Look at the list prices. A one-outlet 1/2 in NPT manifold is $58 and a four-outlet is $100, which is $42 for three more ports and the hardest part of the job, mounting it to the wall, already done. Outlets you have not committed yet get an XCQL-MP-08 manifold plug at $13, and when the bay grows you pull a plug instead of taking the station apart.
This is the same argument as leaving capped stubs in the main, and it is the single cheapest thing a plant can do to make an air system easy to change later.

Ideal Applications
Bay drop stations in automotive service and collision shops, bench and workstation outlets in fabrication and assembly, feeding a filter regulator lubricator plus a blow gun plus a hose reel off one wall point, tool cribs, paint prep areas, and anywhere a single drop has to serve several things at once without a nest of tees and nipples.
What Goes on the End of a Manifold
The 1/2 in FNPT outlets take whatever the station needs. Common builds:
- An FRL station for a tool that wants clean, regulated, lubricated air
- A quick coupler for hand tools and blow guns
- A hose reel feed
- A pressure gauge, so the operator can see what the station is actually getting
- An automatic drain if the station sits at a low point
Champion catalogs quick couplers, gauges, pet cock drains and NPT plugs in the wider Quick-Lock accessory range and we can quote them alongside.
Feed the Manifold Correctly
Take the drop that feeds a manifold off the top of the main, not the bottom, or use a reduction outlet tee with water trap insert, which handles it inside the fitting. Water runs along the bottom of a compressed air main, and a station fed from underneath will deliver it straight to the tool. Mount the manifold with the outlets pointing down or sideways so condensate cannot sit in an open port.
Building a Complete Quick-Lock System
- Quick-Lock aluminum tubing, 14mm to 63mm
- Equal tees and reduction outlet tees
- Saddle clamp outlets, to add a station to a main already installed
- 90 and 45 degree elbows and street elbows
- Strut, wall and hanging brackets
- Tube cutter, deburring tools, marking gauge and wrench sets

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I get the threaded inlet or the tube inlet?
The tube inlet if the drop coming down to the station is Quick-Lock pipe, which is the normal case on a new system. The threaded inlet if you are landing on an existing nipple, a hose, or a legacy iron drop. A threaded inlet also lets you put your own ball valve directly behind the manifold.
Is the valved version worth the extra?
If the station serves a bay that gets worked on, yes. The valve lets one person change a coupler or an FRL without hunting for an isolation point upstream or dropping air to the whole branch. On a station nobody touches, skip it.
Why are the 1/2 in and 3/4 in NPT versions the same price?
That is what Champion's August 2026 price list publishes: $58, $83 and $100 for one, two and four outlets in both thread sizes. The body is the same casting; only the inlet thread changes.
Can I plug an outlet I am not using?
Yes, and you should. The XCQL-MP-08 manifold plug is a 1/2 in NPT plug with a seal, sold here as the last option in the dropdown. Leaving a port open is a leak and an invitation for dirt.
How do I mount it?
The body has an integral bracket, so it bolts or screws to a wall, a post or a strut channel. On a free-standing drop it is usually clamped to the pipe itself with a strut bracket or a cantilever wall bracket. We can quote those with it.
Can I use these on nitrogen or vacuum?
Yes. Same 220 PSIG rating, same full vacuum capability and the same media compatibility as the rest of the Quick-Lock range: compressed air, vacuum, nitrogen and inert gases.
