The Champion QLBL demo kit is a cased set of sample Quick-Lock and Big-Lock pipe and fittings. It exists because this system sells itself in about ninety seconds once somebody holds it, and not at all from a brochure.
Hand a plant engineer a length of 50mm aluminum tube and a nickel-plated brass union, let them push the tube in and feel it seat, then let them pull it back out, and the argument about welding, threading and cure time is over. That is what the kit is for.
What It Is For
- Distributor and rep sample case. Carry one set of hardware instead of a catalogue, and leave the customer having actually made a joint.
- Contractor sales tool. Specifying aluminum against black iron on a bid is much easier with the fitting on the table.
- In-plant training. New maintenance staff learn the four-step install on sample pieces rather than on a live main.
- Specification review. Engineers and facilities managers who have never seen a push-fit system want to inspect the seal, the clamping washer and the safety ring before they put it on a drawing.
What Is in the Kit
Champion's August 2026 price list describes this as "QLBL Demo Kit, pipe & fittings w/case" and publishes nothing further: no bill of material, no size list and no case dimensions. We are not going to invent a contents list for a $1,331 item.
The 2019 Champion Quick-Lock brochure catalogued two separate demo kits under the older numbering, one for 14mm and one covering 20mm to 63mm, which suggests the current single part number consolidates them and adds Big-Lock.
