Champion LRS Series Factory-Installed Options and Adders

These are the priced factory options for the Champion LRS Series variable speed rotary screw air compressor, covering the L23RS (30 HP), L26RS (35 HP) and L29RS (40 HP). Add the option you need as its own line item alongside the compressor and we will build it into the factory order on the CLRS23-29E configurator.

Champion prices every one of these seven options identically across all three LRS models, so there is no model selector on this page. Pick the option; it fits an L23RS, an L26RS and an L29RS at the same price.

About the Line Reactor

This is the one option on the list that is easy to over-order. Every Champion LRS unit already ships with an internal DC bus choke as part of the Eaton drive, and the drive also carries an integrated EMC filter as standard. The line reactor sold here is an additional external device, shipped loose, for installations where the facility electrical specification, the utility or a power quality study calls for extra line side harmonic mitigation. It is not a substitute for the choke and most installations do not need it. Ask your electrical contractor first.

About the Sequencing Kit

Champion is specific about this one: order one kit for each unit being sequenced, not one kit per system. Two compressors sharing a system need two kits. The kit contains the cable, the pressure sensor and the assorted fittings and hardware.

Lubricant Options, and What Is Already Included

Every LRS compressor ships with a RotorLub 4000 fill as standard, 4.0 gal (15.1 L). RotorLub 4K is available in its place as a no charge option; it carries no price so it cannot be sold as a line item here. Tell us at order time and we will specify it.

The four fills on this page are the paid upgrades: the 8,000 hour extended life fluids (8K and 8K HT) and the two food grade fluids (4000FG-46 USDA and 4000FG-68 high temperature). Choosing a fill here changes what the factory puts in the machine; it is not a separate pail shipped to you.

A naming note worth knowing: page 40 of the Champion August 2026 Rotary price book calls the USDA food grade fluid "RotorLub 4000FG-46" while page 42 calls the same product "RotorLub 4000FG". They are the same fluid at the same price. We list it under the fuller name.

Standard or No Charge at Order Time

These carry no price in the price book, so they cannot be sold as line items. They are configured on the order instead.

Not Available on the LRS Series

Champion prints N/A for all three LRS models on the installation kit, the remote start kit, the heater kit, the dryer prefilter, the water cooled aftercooler, any tank mounted or AirStation package, the drive guard, single phase power, and 200V, 230V and 400V. If you need any of those, the Champion DRS Series or the Champion D Series may be the better platform.

Ordering Notes

• These are factory-installed and factory-configured options. They are ordered with the compressor, not retrofitted later. If you already own an LRS and want to add something, call us and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done in the field
• Shipping weights are not published. Champion publishes no weight for any of these seven options in the August 2026 Rotary price book, so every variant here carries a zero weight rather than an invented one. Because they ship with the compressor on the same freight bill, this does not normally affect your freight quote
• SKUs on this page are Warthog internal numbers in the form CHLRS-OPT-MS. The price book prints option adders as priced deltas against a configurator, not as orderable part numbers
• The moisture separator and the line reactor are both shipped loose for field installation, per Champion

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to buy the compressor and the options together?

For the factory-installed items, yes in practice. These are configured into the machine on the production order. Add the compressor and the options you want to the same order and we will handle the configurator.

Why is there no model selector on this page?

Because Champion charges the same for every one of these seven options whether it goes on an L23RS, an L26RS or an L29RS. Adding a "fits model" selector would ask you a question that does not change the price or the part. The DRS Series options listing does carry a model selector, because on that family the prices genuinely differ by horsepower band.

Is the RotorLub 8K fill worth it?

It depends on your hours. RotorLub 8K roughly doubles the fluid change interval against RotorLub 4000. On a machine running one shift it may take years to pay back; on a machine running continuously it usually pays for itself on the first change. Call us with your run hours and we will do the arithmetic with you.

What is the difference between RotorLub 8K and RotorLub 8K HT?

The HT version is formulated for high ambient and high discharge temperature service. If your compressor room runs hot, ask for it.

Does the food grade fluid change my maintenance schedule?

Yes, usually shorter than the extended life fluids. Food grade fluids trade service interval for compliance. If you need an NSF H1 registered fluid in a food or beverage plant, that is the trade and it is worth making.

Why does the price book list a 230V line reactor when the LRS has no 230V model?

Good catch. Page 42 heads the line reactor row "230V/460V" for the L26RS and L29RS even though neither model is offered in 230V, and page 40 prints the 230V line reactor as N/A for the L23RS. The price is the same either way, and we have flagged the inconsistency to Champion. It does not affect what you pay.

Can I add a moisture separator to a compressor I already own?

Probably. It ships loose anyway, so it is a piping job rather than a factory build. Call us with your model and we will confirm the connection size against your discharge.
