A water remover hanging on its own threads is a water remover that will eventually crack a fitting. The Champion DRI mounting bracket carries the weight of the housing on the wall or the post instead of on the pipe, and its position grooves let you line the unit up square before you tighten anything.

The bracket numbering does not follow the housing numbering. The brackets run 3 through 7 while the housings run 50 through 200. Order by the chart above rather than by matching numbers, because there is no XCDI-WRB-50.
Who Needs One
The bare DRI water remover is supplied without a bracket, so if you are buying the housing on its own and mounting it to a wall, a post or a machine frame, you need the matching bracket here. The DRI drop assemblies already include mounting hardware, so you do not need to add a bracket to those.

There is no published material, finish, fastener size, hole pattern or shipping weight for the DRI brackets in any Champion document we have found, so none is stated here and no catalog weight is carried on these variants. If you need a hole pattern to drill ahead of delivery, ask us and we will request a drawing from the factory. These are no-return parts, so it is worth asking.
Ideal Applications
Wall-mounted point-of-use drops, machine-frame installations, post-mounted drops in open bays, and any installation where the housing would otherwise hang on its own threads. Also worth adding on retrofits where a water remover was originally plumbed inline and is now being brought down to a fixed drop.
