The ABAC ABC10-23200HD Ironman duplex mounts two independent 10 HP motor and pump assemblies on a single 200 gallon horizontal ASME tank. Each side runs a C2 two-stage cast iron pump rated 32 CFM, for 64 CFM combined at a maximum 175 PSI. Because the two assemblies are separate, one can come down for service while the other keeps air on the line, which is the reason most shops step up to a duplex in the first place. Choose 230V three-phase (ABC10-23200HD) or 460V three-phase (ABC10-43200HD).

Why the 200 gallon receiver

This is the same 64 CFM pump pair that sits on the 120 gallon ABC10-23120HD, on a receiver with 80 more gallons of storage. The larger tank is worth the floor space wherever the draw is heavy and intermittent: a plasma table, a blast cabinet, or four or five bays that all reach for air at once. Stored air absorbs those peaks, so the pumps start less often, run longer when they do start, and spend more time cool. On a lighter or steadier load the 120 gallon version does the same work in a shorter footprint, and both machines ship at 25 x 80 inches on the floor.

How it compares

Across the Ironman duplex range the pump pair sets the airflow and the tank sets how long the pumps rest between draws. The 10 HP ABC5-21120HD pairs two C1 pumps for 32 CFM, and the 15 HP ABC7-21120HD reaches 42 CFM, both on a 120 gallon horizontal tank. If redundancy is not the point and 32 CFM covers the floor, the single pump ABC10-23120H uses the same C2 pump for a lower installed cost. This 200 gallon duplex is the top of the Ironman piston range, and the next step beyond it is a rotary screw rated for 100 percent duty rather than a larger piston machine.

Typical applications

Production shops, multi bay service centers, fabrication and welding bays, auto body shops, and fleet maintenance operations where several air tools draw at once and a compressor going down stops the whole floor. Installation notes

Both versions are three-phase only, so confirm the panel before ordering and size the feeder to the combined nameplate rather than to one motor. Leave room at both ends of the tank for belt guard access and for the two drains, and plan a timed or automatic drain on a receiver this size because 200 gallons collects a lot of condensate. Two-stage air at 175 PSI leaves a shop floor's worth of moisture to deal with, so pair it with a COOL 100 refrigerated air dryer downstream of the tank, sized with headroom over the 64 CFM the pumps deliver.
