Do green caps actually do anything?

Mechanically, no, a cap is a cap. What they do is communicate. They tell the next technician, in your shop or anywhere else, that this tire is on nitrogen and should not be topped off with shop air. That is the whole point, and it is why the color convention is worth keeping to.

Cap, sleeve or o-ring?

Caps are the common choice and the cheapest per tire. Sleeves stay with the stem when a cap goes missing, which matters on fleet vehicles that see a lot of hands. The green o-rings are for shops that want the identification built into the stem seal itself. Plenty of shops use caps alone.

Why is there a chrome cap on a nitrogen page?

Because customers with polished or show wheels object to green plastic. CC1020777 is the chrome-finish brass-stem option for those cars, and it keeps the sale rather than losing it over a cap color.

Are the hang tags and stickers customizable?

The Champion part numbers here are the standard printed items. If you need shop-branded material, tell us and we will ask the factory what is possible on a custom run.
