The ABAC COOL 125 is a refrigerated air dryer that strips moisture out of compressed air before it reaches your tools, air lines and finishing work. It is the first 230V size in the ABAC COOL range and the largest rated at 232 PSI, handling 125 CFM of air treatment capacity on a single phase 230V 60 Hz supply. Above it the COOL 150 and larger sizes drop to a 188 PSI maximum, so the COOL 125 is the biggest COOL dryer that will still sit behind a 175 PSI two stage reciprocating machine without becoming the weak link.

Typical applications
Paint and body shops, cabinet and woodworking shops, production cells, laser and plasma tables, packaging lines, pneumatic control systems and injection molding: anywhere water in the air line is blowing out finishes, rusting tools and fittings, or freezing an outdoor drop in winter. A refrigerated dryer chills the compressed air so the water condenses, drains it away and sends dry air down the line, which is the most straightforward way to stop moisture damage downstream of a compressor.
How the COOL range works
ABAC builds the COOL range around a combined air to air and air to refrigerant heat exchanger with an integrated water separator, a hot gas bypass valve that holds refrigeration capacity steady across load conditions and keeps the evaporator from freezing, a timer drain that clears condensate on its own, and a front panel dew point indicator with a green target zone so you can read air quality at a glance. ABAC rates the range at a 50 F pressure dew point under its reference conditions of 95 F incoming air and 77 F room temperature.
How it compares
Capacity is the obvious step between COOL models, but the COOL 125 also sits on a line in the range. It is the largest size rated to 232 PSI, while the COOL 150 and the sizes above it drop to a 188 PSI maximum, so if your system runs at a high set pressure, size around that ceiling before you size around flow. Step down to the COOL 100 when real demand stays under 100 CFM: it carries the same 232 PSI rating in a 9 x 22 x 22 in cabinet at 66 lb, light enough for a bench or shelf install where the COOL 125 wants floor space.
Sizing and installation
Size the dryer to the compressor it follows, not to the pipe it bolts into. At 125 CFM the COOL 125 covers a 30 HP rotary screw air compressor such as the AS-30 rated 114.1 CFM at 125 PSI, with headroom left over, and it is comfortably sized for a 25 HP screw such as the AS-25 or a large two stage reciprocating machine. Those ratings hold at ABAC's reference conditions, so a hot room or hot incoming air will cut capacity: allow for it, or fit an aftercooler ahead of the dryer if it sits close to the compressor discharge.
The COOL 125 uses the larger 12 x 28 x 39 in cabinet at 114 lb with 1 in connections, so plan for a floor standing unit rather than the bench or shelf install the 115V COOL 15 through COOL 100 allow. Give it a dry, well ventilated spot between 41 F and 104 F and keep incoming air below 122 F. Pair it with a coalescing filter upstream for oil carryover and a particulate filter downstream when your work calls for cleaner air. See the rest of the refrigerated air dryer range and our wider air dryer lineup, or the rotary screw air compressors this dryer is most often paired with. Call us for the COOL 125 flow rating against your own compressor output and duty cycle before you pipe it in.
