Leeson 131560 5 HP Single Phase Compressor Motor, 184T, 1740 RPM, 208 V
The Leeson 131560.00 is the 208 V only version of Leeson's 5 HP single phase compressor duty motor: 184T frame, 1 1/8 inch shaft, 1740 RPM, open drip proof, capacitor start and run, 23.2 full load amps with a 1.15 service factor at 208 V. It exists for shops fed from a 208Y/120 V three phase panel, where single phase loads see 208 V rather than 230 or 240 V. A dual voltage motor run at 208 V loses its service factor and runs warm under a two stage pump; this motor is wound for 208 V and keeps the full 1.15 overload margin.

Measure the voltage at the compressor disconnect before ordering. 208 V single phase: this motor. 230 or 240 V single phase: the Leeson 131537 dual voltage motor or the Baldor L1410T. Three phase: see the air compressor motors collection. Check that the old motor is a 184T frame with a 1 1/8 inch shaft so the pulley and the mounting holes line up, and feed it from a 40 A circuit with a starter or pressure switch rated for 23 A. Fits the 5 HP two stage pumps on most 60 and 80 gallon stationary compressors, including the Champion R-Series.
