Kit contents are exactly as published by Champion. Note that C-OPC-IK2 and C-OPC-IK3 both carry six drain connections; the difference between them is tubing length and bracket count, so pick on the distance your run has to cover.

Why Pipe Condensate in Aluminum

Compressor condensate is acidic, and it sits in the line between drain events. Black iron rusts from the inside and drops scale into the separator inlet, where it blinds media that should be adsorbing hydrocarbon. Vinyl tubing sags between supports, traps liquid and eventually splits. 14mm aluminum stays round, holds a straight fall to the treatment point, will not corrode from the inside, and takes push-to-connect fittings so the run can be rearranged later without cutting threads.

How to Size the Kit

• Count your drain points first: compressor, aftercooler, wet receiver, refrigerated dryer, each coalescing filter and each dry receiver. Four drop points is a small single-compressor room; six covers most two-compressor plants.
• Then measure the run, including vertical drops and the trip around obstructions, and add slack. Eighty feet disappears faster than people expect once a run leaves the compressor room.
• Keep a continuous fall toward the separator. Condensate moves on gravity once it leaves the drain valve, and a dip in the line becomes a trap that backs pressure into the drain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use a kit, or can I buy the pieces loose?

You can pipe a condensate run out of loose parts, but the kits exist because the fitting count is what people get wrong. The bracket and connector counts in each kit are matched to the tubing length.

What is the difference between IK2 and IK3?

Both carry six drain connections. IK3 has 240 feet of tubing, 60 brackets and 24 union connectors against IK2's 160 feet, 40 brackets and 18 connectors. Choose on run length.

Will these work with any brand of separator?

They are Champion kits built around standard 14mm aluminum tubing and 1/4" NPT drain connections, so they suit most condensate installations. Tell us what separator and what drains you are connecting and we will confirm.

Can I combine two kits for a larger plant?

Yes, and for very large rooms that is often the cleanest approach. Call us and we will work out the combination.

Does the kit include the drain valves?

No. It is the piping package. Demand drains and timed drains are sold separately in our condensate drains range.
