Champion DRS-Series Factory-Installed Options
Every priced option Champion publishes for the DRS-Series variable speed rotary screw range, on one page. Pick the option, then pick the model band it fits. Prices come straight from the Champion August 2026 Rotary Price List, effective August 15 2026.
These are factory-installed items. They are built into the compressor at the factory and must be ordered together with the machine. Order the compressor on the Champion DRS-Series Variable Speed Rotary Screw Air Compressor listing and add the options you want here.
What Each Option Does
- Moisture Separator (Base Mount Only). A mechanical separator and trap on the discharge, catching bulk liquid before it reaches your piping. Ships loose on base mount units. Offered on base mount DRS models only; AirStation packages handle condensate at the receiver.
- Line Reactor (External, Ship Loose). Every DRS drive already has an internal DC bus choke. The line reactor is an additional external device for installations with weak or noisy incoming power. It ships loose for field mounting.
- Automatic Tank Drain (Tank Mount, Less Dryer). For a 10 or 15 HP AirStation ordered without a dryer. On AirStation packages that include a dryer, the automatic tank drain is standard at no charge.
- Electric Tank Drain (With XCNC Dryer). The electric timed drain for 20 through 30 HP Air System packages with the XCNC dryer fitted.
- Sequencing Kit. Cable, pressure sensor and assorted fittings and hardware so multiple compressors share a system pressure signal and run in sequence. Order one kit per unit being sequenced.
- Communication / Sequencing Module. The 50 HP and larger equivalent, a controller module rather than a cable kit.
- Remote Start Kit. Lets the machine be started and stopped from a remote contact. Offered on the 40 and 50 HP frames only.
- Disconnect Kit (460V). A factory-fitted main disconnect on the 75 HP and larger frames.
- RotorLub 8K and 8K HT. Champion's 8,000-hour lubricant in standard and high-temperature grades, in place of the standard RotorLub 4000 fill.
- RotorLub 4000FG-46 and 4000FG-68. USDA food-grade and high-temperature food-grade fills for food, beverage and packaging plants.
Options Not Sold as Line Items
Three kinds of entry in the price book cannot be sold as a cart line and are handled on the order instead:
- No-charge configurator selections. California Code receiver, the RotorLub 4K fill in place of RotorLub 4000, and the 70°C / 158°F mixing valve where the book shows it standard. Tell us on the order.
- Standard equipment. The 3-way bypass valve, the standard receiver tank and the automatic tank drain on AirStation packages with a dryer are all included at no cost.
- Unpriced items, available by quote. The 10-year premium warranty kits 4798884001, 302EJC6032, MK-D40-50B, 300DFX6032 and 301DMX6032, and the XCNC dryer prefilter. Champion prints no list price for any of them. Ask us and we will quote.
Installation kits, remote start kits and heater kits are printed N/A on the 30 HP frame, and remote start is N/A on the 75 HP and larger frames.
A Note on Lubricant Naming
The August 2026 book is not consistent with itself on lubricant names. The 50 through 100 HP page calls them "RotorLub 8000" and "RotorLub 8000TH" where every other DRS page calls the same two products "RotorLub 8K" and "RotorLub 8K HT". We have listed them under the 8K and 8K HT names throughout and asked Champion to confirm they are the same two products. Plain RotorLub 8K is printed N/A on the 75 and 100 HP frames, where only the high-temperature grade is offered.
Why Buy From Warthog
- Authorized Champion distributor. Factory-installed options, factory warranty, factory support.
- Current price book. Every adder here is the August 2026 list price, with compare-at set to full list.
- We check the fit. Several of these options are model-specific and a few are genuinely unavailable on particular frames. Tell us the model and we will confirm before the order goes in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add these to a compressor I already own? No. These are factory-installed on the order. If you need a field-retrofit equivalent, ask us and we will tell you what is possible.
Why is a given option missing for my model? Because Champion does not offer it on that frame, or prints it N/A. Only the combinations the book actually prices are listed here.
What do these weigh for freight? Champion publishes no shipping weight for any DRS option adder, so every variant on this listing carries a zero weight rather than an invented one. Factory-installed options ship on the compressor anyway, so the machine's weight is what matters for freight.
Do I need a line reactor? Usually not. The drive already has an internal DC bus choke. The reactor is for installations with poor incoming power quality, and your electrician is the right person to make that call.
Ordering Notes
SKUs here are Warthog part numbers in the form CHDRS-OPT-<option>-<model band>. Champion's rotary book prices options as configurator adders rather than orderable part numbers, so there is no factory stock number to quote. Give us the Warthog SKU and the compressor model and we will build the factory order.
