Champion D-Series Factory-Installed Options
These are the priced options Champion builds into a D-Series rotary screw compressor at the factory. They are not field accessories and they are not sold separately: each one has to be selected on the configurator when the compressor order goes in, so order them alongside the machine on our Champion D-Series Enclosed Rotary Screw Air Compressor listing.
Prices are per compressor and come straight from the Champion Rotary Price List effective August 15 2026. Because Champion prices most of these by horsepower band rather than by part number, each option is listed once per band. Pick the band that covers your model.
What Each Option Does
- Automatic Tank Drain (AirStation, Less Dryer), D5 to D15. An automatic drain on the receiver of a tank-mounted package that has no dryer. If you order the AirStation with a dryer, the automatic tank drain is already standard and you do not need this.
- Electric Tank Drain (Air System), D20 to D30. The 20 HP and larger equivalent. Champion's note is explicit that the ETD is available on Air System D-Series models only.
- Moisture Separator / Trap, every frame. On a base-mount machine the moisture trap ships loose rather than piped, and it is the single most useful thing you can add if the compressor is feeding a line with no dryer on it yet.
- RotorLub 8K and RotorLub 8K HT. Extended-life compressor fluid in place of the standard RotorLub 4000 fill, 8K HT being the high-temperature grade. Note that on the D75 and D100 the price book calls these RotorLub 8000 and 8000TH, and shows plain RotorLub 8000 as not available on those two frames.
- RotorLub 4000FG-46 (D5 to D15) and RotorLub 4000FG / 4000FG-68 (D20 and up). USDA food-grade and high-temperature food-grade fills, for plants where incidental food contact is a consideration.
- Multi-Compressor Sequencing Kit. Cable, pressure sensor and the assorted fittings and hardware needed to sequence Governor-controlled machines. Champion's note is worth repeating: one kit should be ordered with each unit being sequenced, not one per system. Sequencing between a Governor and a different controller family needs a different device; see the ESP section of the price book.
- Inlet Modulation Capacity Control, D20 to D30. Lets a fixed-speed machine throttle its inlet to follow part-load demand instead of blowing down, at some cost in specific power.
- NEMA 4 Control Box, D20 to D30. Washdown and wet-environment control enclosure in place of the standard IP23 box.
- Remote Start Kit, D40 and D50.
Options With No Price, and Deducts
Three kinds of D-Series option cannot be sold as a line item and so do not appear as variants here. Ask for them at order entry:
- No-charge substitutions: California Code receiver (D5, D10, D15), the 70°C / 158°F thermal mixing valve on D20 and up, RotorLub 4K in place of RotorLub 4000 on D20 and up, and dedicated 380 / 400 / 575 V three phase on the D20.
- Standard equipment: manual tank drain, standard receiver tank, three-way bypass on 20 HP and up, and the automatic tank drain plus three-valve bypass whenever an AirStation is ordered with a dryer.
- Quoted options: the 460 V to 208-230 V and 208-230 V to 460 V voltage conversion kits for the D20 and D25, dryer prefilters for XCNC-equipped AirStations, and the 10-year premium warranty kits. Champion lists part numbers for these but publishes no list price in the August 2026 book.
A Note on Our Part Numbers
Champion prices these options as columns against each model rather than as stock part numbers, so there is no factory SKU to quote. The codes on this page are Warthog's own, built as CHD-OPT-<option>-<model band>. Quote the option name and your compressor model when you call and we will handle the configurator string.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add these to a compressor I already own?
No. Everything on this page is installed at the Champion factory as part of building the machine. If you need to retrofit a drain, a moisture separator or a sequencing controller to a compressor already in service, call us and we will quote the field-installable equivalent instead.
Why is the same option listed at several prices?
Because Champion prices by frame size. A moisture separator for a D10 is a different physical part from one for a D150, and the price book reflects that: $620 on D5 to D15 and $2,848 on D125 to D175. Choose the band that contains your model.
Why does the sequencing kit cost different amounts on adjacent frames?
That is what the book prints: $1,610 on D5 and D7.5, $1,644 on D15, $1,810 on D20 to D30, $1,700 on D40 and D50, $1,680 on D75 and D100 and $1,629 on D125 to D175. The D10 shows the sequencing kit as not available at all. We publish it as printed.
Do these ship separately?
No. They arrive installed on the compressor, on the same crate and the same freight bill. Nothing on this page adds a separate shipment.
