What the Full Feature package adds

Two things, and both of them are jobs a busy shop forgets. The automatic tank drain clears condensate on its own, so nobody has to remember the petcock at closing time and the bottom of the receiver does not quietly rust through. The low oil level shutoff stops the motor before the pump runs dry, which is the failure that turns a pump rebuild into a pump replacement. If your crew is reliable about both chores, the standard ABC5 Ironman is the same machine without the FF package.

What 16 CFM actually runs

Sixteen CFM at 175 PSI suits a one or two bay shop running tools one at a time: impact wrenches, air ratchets, hammers, blow guns, nailers, and a touch up gun. Continuous draw work is where it runs out of room. A sandblaster, a production DA sander worked all shift, or two techs on air at once will pull the pressure down faster than the pump recovers.
