The ABAC AB7-2180HFF is the Full Feature build of the 80 gallon horizontal AB7 platform. The belt-driven T39 two-stage pump pairs an aluminum head and aftercooler with cast iron cylinders, so heat comes out of the air before it reaches the receiver, and the FF specification adds a pressure-actuated automatic tank drain and a low oil level switch. It delivers 22.2 CFM at a maximum 175 PSI on a low-profile tank that fits under benches, mezzanines and low ceilings where a 75 inch vertical machine will not. The same build is offered on 230V single-phase, 230V three-phase and 460V three-phase power.

Every 80 gallon AB7 runs the same T39 pump and the same 22.2 CFM at 175 PSI, so the choice is footprint and fitted equipment rather than output. The AB7-2180HS is this same horizontal machine without the automatic drain and the oil level switch. The AB7-2180VFF is the Full Feature specification on a vertical tank, 25 x 34 x 75 in, for shops with ceiling height but tight floor space, and the AB7-2180V is the standard vertical. Where 22.2 CFM is more than the shop draws, the 5 HP AB5-2180VPFF runs 16.6 CFM in the same Full Feature trim. Installation notes

Specify the voltage and phase that matches your panel before ordering. The 230V single-phase version draws the highest current of the three and normally wants a dedicated circuit sized to the motor nameplate, while the 230V and 460V three-phase versions suit shops already running three-phase service. Allow for the 25 by 71 inch floor footprint and 48 inches of height, leave service clearance on the drain side where the discharge and tank drain sit low on a horizontal tank, and keep the intake away from paint fumes and sanding dust. Belts, filters and oil are the routine service items on this range.

A two-stage pump still pushes warm, wet air into the line, so size a refrigerated dryer above the 22.2 CFM output, such as the ABAC COOL 35, before the air reaches paint, tires or pneumatic controls.
