The ABAC ABC7 V2 Full Feature pairs the larger C2 cast iron pump with ABAC's FF protection package, so the machine looks after itself between shifts. A 7.5 HP motor drives the C2 two-stage pump to 24 CFM at a maximum 175 PSI on an 80 gallon vertical ASME tank. Choose 230V single-phase (ABC7-2180V2FF), 230V three-phase (ABC7-2380V2FF), 460V three-phase (ABC7-4380V2FF), or 575V three-phase (ABC7-5380V2FF).

What the Full Feature package adds
Three things, and all three are jobs a busy shop forgets or cannot do by hand at all. The automatic tank drain clears condensate on its own, so nobody has to remember the petcock at closing time and the bottom of the receiver does not quietly rust through. The low oil level automatic shut off stops the motor before the pump runs dry, which is the failure that turns a pump rebuild into a pump replacement. The belt guard aftercooler is the one no habit can replace: it drops the discharge temperature before the air reaches the tank, so a large share of the moisture condenses in the receiver where the drain can get rid of it instead of travelling down the pipe to your tools. If the crew is reliable about the first two chores and the air does not need to be dry, the standard ABC7-2180V2 is the same 24 CFM machine without the FF package.
Why the larger pump matters
Air delivery on a piston compressor comes from pump displacement and pump speed, not from the motor badge. The C2 is the bigger of the two Ironman cast iron blocks, so on the same 7.5 HP motor it reaches 24 CFM while turning slower than the C1 does for 21 CFM. Lower pump speed means lower piston speed, less heat and less wear per hour of running, which is the argument for buying displacement rather than RPM. The extra iron shows on the scale: 694 lbs on a 25 x 41 in footprint, against 622 lbs for the C1 Full Feature build. Two stages handle the rest, compressing in two steps with cooling in between, so 175 PSI arrives without the heat a single-stage pump makes chasing the same pressure.
What 24 CFM actually runs
Size on CFM, not on horsepower. Twenty four CFM at 175 PSI holds pressure under a continuous duty tool such as a dual action sander, or under two techs on impact tools and blow guns at the same time. Below it, the ABC7-2180VFF at 21 CFM is the same Full Feature build on the C1 pump and suits tools that run in bursts rather than all day, and the 5 HP ABC5 Full Feature at 16 CFM covers a one or two bay shop running tools one at a time. Above it, the 10 HP ABC10 Full Feature at 32 CFM moves to a 120 gallon receiver, which is where to start if a third operator is likely. Sustained work such as sandblasting belongs on a rotary screw, which is rated for 100 percent duty.
Typical applications
Busy auto and truck repair shops, tire and fleet service bays, cabinet and woodworking shops, and light fabrication where several air tools run at once and the compressor is expected to keep up all day rather than catch up between jobs. The 80 gallon reserve smooths demand spikes so the pump is not restarting on every trigger pull, and the Full Feature build suits shops that would rather not rely on someone remembering to drain the tank or check the oil.
Power and air treatment
Take three-phase power if the panel has it. A three-phase motor starts easier and runs cooler on a compressor that cycles all day, and the 460V build keeps wire size down on a long run. On single-phase, give it a dedicated circuit sized to the motor nameplate and keep the wire run short. The belt guard aftercooler does real work on moisture, but it is not a dryer: if the air reaches paint, plasma, or pneumatic controls, add a refrigerated dryer rated above this compressor's 24 CFM output. The ABAC COOL 35 leaves headroom on a hot day. Browse all refrigerated air dryers.
Part of ABAC's Ironman cast iron range from the Atlas Copco group. The vertical 80 gallon footprint keeps floor space free while holding enough stored air to smooth out demand spikes, and the all cast iron two-stage pump is the part of this machine that decides how many years it lasts.
