The WEG KESWHS is a factory-assembled control plate for WEG ESW and ESWS series enclosed magnetic motor starters. It carries a Hand-Off-Auto selector switch in the upper 22 mm position and a green and red momentary START/STOP pushbutton in the lower position, both mounted on a steel bracket that installs in the starter cover in place of the standard plate. One kit gives a starter both operator controls, where the single-device kits fill only one position and leave the other plugged.

What Hand-Off-Auto gives you
AUTO hands the motor over to a pressure switch, float, thermostat or timer so the machine cycles on demand. HAND runs the motor directly, which is how you check rotation, bump a pump or fill a receiver without waiting on the control device. OFF locks the starter out for service. On an air compressor this is the normal way to run day to day on the pressure switch and still take manual control when you need it.
