The Unoair UH20 is a 20 gallon horizontal compressor on the UH-30-76A single-stage two-cylinder pump. Twice the storage of a typical portable means the pump cycles less and runs cooler on intermittent work, and the horizontal tank keeps the center of gravity low enough to move around a shop without it wanting to tip. It is wired for 115 or 230 volts, so it can start on a standard outlet and move to a 230 volt circuit later for a lower running current.

What it will run

6 CFM at 90 PSI handles impacts and ratchets, nailers, blow guns, tire inflation and light grinding, with the 20 gallon receiver carrying you through short bursts that would have a smaller tank cycling constantly. Continuous-draw tools such as sanders, cut-off wheels and sandblasters will outrun it, as they will any 2 HP single-stage machine.

Service notes

Drain the tank after every use. Check pump oil before each run and change it on schedule. If you move the unit to 230 volts, the motor leads have to be reconfigured and the branch circuit protection resized to match, which is electrician work, not a plug swap.
