This is the part that breaks when a portable gets knocked over, and it breaks at the gauge more often than at the regulator. Since the two come together here, you are replacing both either way.
Set the regulator to what the tool wants, not to what the tank holds. Running a 90 PSI tool at 150 PSI does not make it faster, it makes it a consumable. Check the tool's plate and set the outlet to match with the tool actually running, because a regulator set at no flow will sag once the trigger is pulled.
