How it works

The bowl adaptor threads into the separator or filter bowl in place of the factory float drain and provides the connection for an automatic timer drain. The ball valve gives you a manual shutoff, so the timer drain can be isolated and serviced without taking the housing out of the air system, and the strainer screens rust, scale and pipe debris out of the condensate before it reaches the drain valve. Keeping that debris out is what stops a timer drain from being held open by trash on the seat.
