Felt pads are one of the filtration layers inside a Super-Dry D Series single-tower desiccant dryer. They sit with the polypropylene coalescer element and the stainless steel grids in the stage that removes solid particulates before the air ever reaches the desiccant. Order by dryer model, with a single pad covering both the D2 and the D3.
How it works
Wet compressed air enters the D Series through an offset inlet that throws water droplets out by centrifugal action. The air then passes around the coalescer element, the felt pads and the stainless steel grids, which together take out solid particulates, before it flows upward through the sewed desiccant bag that absorbs the remaining moisture. Felt is a consumable layer, so fit fresh pads whenever you change the cartridge and the desiccant bag, not on their own schedule.
