This is the empty replacement bag for a Super-Dry D Series single-tower desiccant dryer, supplied without desiccant. It is the sewed filtration bag the air passes through inside the cartridge, sold on its own for anyone who fills their own media or needs a sound bag after emptying one. Choose the version that matches your dryer, D1 through D4.
How it works
In a D Series dryer the air rises through the sewed desiccant bag, which acts as a sponge and absorbs moisture after the coalescer element, felt pads and stainless steel grids have taken out solid particulates. Super-Dry recommends fitting a fresh factory-filled cartridge for best performance. The empty bag is for shops that would rather buy loose activated alumina and fill the bag themselves instead of ordering a pre-filled BD bag. The bag is accessed through the housing joint held by the stainless steel clamp, so the swap does not disturb the inlet or outlet piping.
