EATD kits are the genuine Super-Dry replacement cartridges for ATD Series inline air tool dryers. When the desiccant in an ATD stops pulling moisture out of the air, this kit restores the dryer instead of forcing you to replace the housing. Three versions cover the range: the standard EATD for the ATD 1/4 and ATD 1/2, the EATD-CL for the cam-lock ATD 1/2-CL, and the EATD XL silica gel cartridge for the ATD 1/4 XL.
How it works
- The desiccant bag is the wear item. It absorbs water vapor from the compressed air until it saturates, at which point the dryer stops protecting the tool downstream.
- On the standard and cam-lock kits, paper filters and felt pads sit around the bag to catch particulate and oil carry-over, and gaskets seal the caps where supplied.
- The EATD XL is a sealed silica gel cartridge with color-changing media that turns from blue to pink as it takes on moisture, so the ATD 1/4 XL sight glass gives you a direct read on when to change it.
- Swapping a cartridge takes no tools and no handling of loose desiccant. The cam-lock caps on the ATD 1/2-CL make the change faster still.
