The Prevost DMG 0736 shaft is the central spindle a Prevost hose reel drum rotates on. It carries the full side load of the reel, so a bent or scored shaft shows up as a drum that binds, wobbles or drags during rewind.
Fitting the genuine shaft restores the original running clearance and keeps the drum concentric, which in turn stops the hose from chafing against the reel housing.
