Prevost Hose Reel Swivel Seal 28 mm PTFE - DMG 0219
This is the 28 mm PTFE sealing ring for the swivel joint on a larger Prevost hose reel. PTFE is used here rather than a rubber compound because it tolerates higher temperatures and keeps a low, consistent friction against the rotating shaft, so the reel still spools freely after the seal has bedded in.
Replace it when the reel weeps at the hub, or when it will not hold line pressure with the hose fully wound. Renew the matching washer at the same time, and inspect the swivel shaft for scoring before reassembly.
