This refrigeration compressor is a genuine Chicago Pneumatic replacement part that drives the cooling circuit inside a refrigerated air dryer. It circulates refrigerant through the heat exchanger, chilling the incoming compressed air so that moisture condenses out and can be drained away.
The refrigeration compressor is the heart of the dryer's sealed system. When it fails, the dryer can no longer pull the air down to its rated dew point and moisture begins to pass through to your tools and piping. Fitting the correct compressor restores full drying performance.
