The Prevost DMG 0328 retaining ring, often called a Seeger circlip, is the sprung steel ring that locks a shaft or axle into its groove inside a Prevost hose reel. Circlips lose tension once they have been removed and refitted a few times, so replacing rather than reusing them is the reliable repair when servicing a reel's swivel or ratchet assembly.
