Prevost Hose Reel Pivoting Support Axle - DMG 0298
This is the pivot shaft in the swivel bracket of a Prevost wall-mounted hose reel. It lets the whole reel rotate on its mount so the drum turns to face wherever the hose is being pulled, which is what keeps the hose feeding straight off the reel instead of chafing against the guide rollers.
Replace it when the reel has developed play on its bracket, will not hold position, or has worn oval at the pivot after heavy use. Inspect the bracket bores at the same time and renew the retaining hardware rather than reusing it.
