A replacement coalescing element built to interchange with the Pioneer Air Systems GR 6 element, part number A7-00010-40091. The GR designation refers to the media build of the element rather than a physical size, and fitment matches the original so it installs in the existing housing as-is.
Coalescing media does the job a particulate filter cannot. It captures oil and water carried as a fine aerosol, merges those droplets into larger ones on the media surface, and lets gravity move them down to the bowl and out the drain. That is the stage keeping liquid oil off your downstream piping, pneumatic tools, valves and instruments.
Replace it on a schedule. A coalescing element is changed on a time basis rather than on differential pressure, because efficiency falls away before the pressure drop ever tells you anything. The rest of the range is in coalescing filters and elements, with the broader selection under air filters.
