Pioneer Air Systems Coalescing Element A7-00010-40025
This replacement coalescing element is built to interchange with the Pioneer Air Systems part number A7-00010-40025. It uses the same fitment as the original, so there is nothing to modify at the filter.
The job of a coalescer is to remove what ordinary particulate filtration cannot: oil and water present as a fine aerosol. The mist wets the media, tiny droplets merge into larger drops, and those drops fall to the bowl and leave through the drain. That is the stage protecting downstream piping, pneumatic tools, valves and instrumentation from liquid oil carryover.
One maintenance note that saves trouble: a coalescing element is replaced on a time basis rather than on differential pressure, so an annual change is the safer habit than waiting for the gauge to move.
