Pioneer Air Systems Coalescing Element A7-00010-40069
This is a replacement coalescing element built to interchange with the Pioneer Air Systems element carrying part number A7-00010-40069. It fits the same housing and installs the same way as the element it replaces.
A coalescer handles the contamination that ordinary particulate filtration lets straight through: the fine oil and water aerosol suspended in the air stream. The mist collects on the media, the tiny droplets merge into larger drops, and gravity carries them down to the bowl where the drain removes them. That is what keeps liquid oil out of downstream piping, air tools, cylinders and controls.
Worth knowing: a coalescing element is replaced on a time basis rather than on differential pressure. Efficiency falls off while the pressure drop still reads normal, so an annual change is the common practice.
