Pioneer Air Systems 3 Micron Interceptor A7-00010-40075
This equivalent 3 micron interceptor element replaces the Pioneer Air Systems A7-00010-40075. It matches the original fitment and installs in the housing already in service.
An interceptor element is a micron rated particulate filter. Its job is to take the solid carryover out of a compressed air line, which in most plants means rust and scale from steel pipe, fines migrating out of a desiccant bed, and anything the intake pulled in that got past the first stage. Placing one upstream of finer filtration is the cheapest way to make those elements last, and placing one at the machine keeps grit out of valves and tooling.
Replace rather than clean, and change the element on the same rotation as the rest of the filter train so the whole train is in known condition. Comparable ratings are grouped in particulate removal filters, and the broader category is compressed air filters.
