A replacement 3 micron interceptor element built to interchange with the Pioneer Air Systems A7-00010-40074. Dimensions follow the original element, so it seats in the existing housing with nothing else to change.
The 3 micron figure describes the size of particle the media is built to hold back, not the size of the element itself. That makes this a solids stage: it pulls rust, pipe scale, desiccant dust and general line debris out of the air stream before they reach anything sensitive. Used ahead of a coalescer it stops that finer element from blinding off early, and used near a machine it keeps abrasive material away from seals and orifices.
Because the element fills with what it collects, it is changed on a maintenance interval rather than run to failure. Watch pressure drop across the housing as a second signal.
