Pioneer Air Systems 3 Micron Interceptor EPS3500
An equivalent 3 micron interceptor element for the Pioneer Air Systems EPS3500. It is built to the original fitment and drops into the housing already installed on the line.
An interceptor element is a micron rated particulate filter, which means its job is solids rather than oil or moisture aerosols. It holds back rust and scale from steel pipe, fines carried over from a desiccant bed, install debris and intake dirt, so none of that reaches the valves, cylinders, instruments and tools downstream. It also shields any finer element behind it from taking that loading.
Change the element on a maintenance interval and replace rather than clean it. Pressure drop across the housing climbing is the practical sign it is full. Other ratings are grouped under particulate removal filters, and the broader category is compressed air filters.
