Pioneer Air Systems 3 Micron Interceptor EPS1700
This equivalent 3 micron interceptor element replaces the Pioneer Air Systems EPS1700. It matches the original fitment and seats in the housing already in service.
An interceptor element is there to remove solids. Compressed air systems generate and collect a surprising amount of them: rust and scale from the inside of steel pipe, fines that migrate out of a desiccant bed, weld debris left behind at installation, and dirt pulled in at the intake. A micron rated element holds that material so the equipment downstream never sees it, and so the finer filtration behind it is not asked to do a job it was not built for.
Replace the element rather than attempting to clean it, and put it on the same service rotation as the rest of the filter train. You can compare ratings under particulate removal filters or step back to the full compressed air filters category.
