Pioneer Air Systems 3 Micron Interceptor EPP625/700
An equivalent 3 micron interceptor element for the Pioneer Air Systems EPP625/700. It uses the original fitment and installs in the housing already on the line.
An interceptor at this rating is a particulate filter. The media holds back the solid material a compressed air system sheds and collects over time, including rust and scale from steel piping, carryover fines from upstream drying, and dirt that made it past the intake. Keeping solids out protects the elements behind it and, at the point of use, protects valves, cylinders, instruments and air tools from abrasive wear.
The element fills with what it captures, so it is replaced on an interval rather than cleaned and reused. Rising pressure drop across the housing is the practical signal that it has had enough. Comparable ratings are listed under particulate removal filters, and the complete range sits under compressed air filters.
