A replacement 3 micron interceptor element built to interchange with the Pioneer Air Systems part number A7-00010-40070. Fitment follows the original, so it installs in the existing housing without adapters.
An interceptor element at this rating is a particulate stage. It removes rust, pipe scale, desiccant fines, weld slag and other solids that a compressed air system sheds into the line over time. Running one ahead of finer filtration is what keeps a coalescing element from loading up with grit and failing early, and at the point of use it keeps solids out of valves, cylinders and air tools.
Particulate elements are a wear item and are cheap insurance compared with what they protect. Check them on the same service interval as the rest of your filter train, and replace rather than clean.
