Parker-Watts QIX Series Filter Element Kit, F20 40 Micron Particulate and F21 Coalescing
Genuine Parker-Watts replacement element kits for the QIX series air preparation line. The QIX body takes interchangeable port inserts, so one element size covers the whole 1/4 in. through 1 in. port range on a given filter model.

Read the grade letter carefully
Watts grade letters are model dependent, not universal. On the F20 particulate filter the letter J means 40 micron; on the F21 coalescing filter the same letter J means 0.01 micron coalescing. Match the element to the filter model stamped on your body, not to the letter alone. Parker also notes that the J element is offered only with the F21.
Availability note
Both elements are documented in Parker-Watts QIX catalog 0306 and the QIX instruction sheet, but neither appears in the current General Line or Prep-Air II catalogs, so treat them as legacy service parts with long lead times. The Honeywell-rebranded version of the coalescing element (EKF601J/U) is listed as discontinued by Honeywell; the Parker part is still catalogued.
Applications
QIX filters, regulators and lubricators were specified on machine tools, packaging lines and plant air headers through the 1990s and 2000s, and plenty of them are still in service. Running the F20 particulate filter upstream of the F21 coalescing filter is the standard arrangement: the coarse element takes the pipe scale and bulk water so the expensive coalescing element only has to deal with oil aerosol.
