The Parker-Watts D11-04W is a complete, self contained automatic tank drain. Unlike a bowl mounted drain cartridge, this is a stand-alone float operated unit with its own zinc body and zinc bowl that pipes directly into the line, typically off a tee at the bottom of a receiver tank, a drip leg or the low point of a header.

D11-04 or D11-04W
The W suffix is the metal bowl with the wraparound sight glass, so you can see at a glance how much liquid is sitting in the bowl and whether the drain is actually cycling. The plain D11-04 is the same unit with a metal bowl and no sight glass.
Installation notes
Mount in the pipe line following the flow arrows cast into the top of the body, as close as possible to the equipment being served. Clean the sight glass bowl with household soap only: solvents and cleaners will craze it.
Why automatic tank draining matters
An air receiver that is drained manually is an air receiver that is drained when somebody remembers. Standing condensate rusts the tank from the inside, which both shortens its life and puts rust downstream, and a tank partly full of water is a tank with less usable air storage than you paid for. An automatic tank drain pays for itself in avoided water damage to tools and finishes long before it pays for itself in tank life.
This is 2007 to 2013 era Parker-Watts literature and distributor lead times run long, so plan this one as a scheduled replacement rather than an emergency part.
