This build mounts the LZL05 vane motor directly to a helical gearbox, trading free speed for output torque so the shaft lands in the range the application needs. Atlas Copco offers the gear unit in two mounting configurations, foot and flange, and this is the foot version. Speed stays infinitely variable from the air supply alone, by adjusting inlet pressure or flow, with no electronic drive in the loop.

Air consumption at maximum output is 36 l/s (77 cfm). External parts are powder coated cast iron and aluminium.
