The Low Oil Safety Shut-Off Switch is a float-actuated protection device that guards your air compressor pump against the single most common cause of catastrophic failure: running low on oil. Wired into the compressor's magnetic motor starter, it automatically cuts power before the oil level drops far enough to starve the bearings and seize the pump.

How It Works
An internal float rides on the oil in the crankcase. As long as the oil stays at a safe level, the float holds the switch closed and the compressor runs normally. If the oil drops below the safe threshold, the float falls, opening the control circuit and shutting the motor down so the pump can't keep running dry.
