Thermostatic Valve Kit, 71°C
This thermostatic valve service kit (part number 2901356860) replaces the oil thermostatic valve used in the lubrication circuit of rotary screw air compressors. Its element is set to begin opening near 71°C, roughly 160°F.
The thermostatic valve manages oil temperature. When the compressor starts cold, the valve keeps oil bypassing the cooler so the airend warms quickly and stays above the point where water can condense in the oil. As the oil heats past the set point, the valve routes more of it through the cooler to hold a steady injection temperature. The kit includes the valve element and the seals needed for a clean rebuild.
Correct oil temperature control protects the airend and the separator, which is why this is a routine maintenance part on rotary screw air compressors. Provide your compressor model and serial number if you would like us to confirm the exact valve setting for your machine.
