An equivalent oil filter element for Kaeser rotary screw air compressors, cross-referenced to Kaeser part number 6.1981.0.
The oil filter is what keeps wear metal, varnish and carbon out of the lubricant circuit that feeds the airend bearings and the injection ports. As the media loads, the bypass valve opens and unfiltered oil goes straight back to the airend, which is why a filter left in past its interval quietly costs you bearing life rather than announcing itself. Most manufacturers call for a change at the same interval as the oil, or sooner in hot or dusty rooms.
Order the oil filter element together with the other change-out items for your rotary screw air compressor so the machine only comes down once.
