Galvanized Malleable Iron Hex Union — Class 150, FNPT
A galvanized malleable iron ground-joint hex union for joining two threaded pipe runs while keeping the connection serviceable — the union nut lets you disconnect and reconnect the line without cutting pipe or disturbing adjacent fittings. Female NPT on both ends, with a hex body for an easy wrench grip. Hot-dip galvanizing resists corrosion in compressed-air, water, and general industrial plumbing.
Key specifications
- Type: Equal hex union, ground-joint (three-piece) design
- Material: Malleable iron, ASTM A197; hot-dip galvanized finish (ASTM A153)
- Connections: Female NPT (FNPT) x Female NPT
- Pressure class: Class 150 — approx. 300 PSI WOG, 150 PSI saturated steam
- Standards: Threads to ASME B1.20.1; union dimensions to ASME B16.39; fitting body to ASME B16.3

Typical applications
Compressed-air distribution lines, water and low-pressure steam piping, pump and filter hookups, and any threaded run where a section may later need to be removed for service. The ground-joint seat seals metal-to-metal, so the union can be broken and remade repeatedly without losing its seal.
Choose your size above. These Class 150 galvanized malleable iron hex unions deliver a durable, leak-tight, and fully serviceable connection for industrial and shop piping.
