Baldor-Reliance EHM3313T 10 HP Three-Phase General Purpose Motor
The Baldor-Reliance EHM3313T is a 10 horsepower, three-phase electric motor rated for continuous duty. It runs on 230 or 460 volts at 60 Hz, turns at 1768 rpm (1800 rpm synchronous, 4-pole), and carries a 1.15 service factor, so it handles the demanding start-and-run cycles of reciprocating and rotary screw air compressors as well as pumps, fans, and other industrial equipment.
It is built on a steel 215T frame with an F1 foot mount and an OPSB (open drip-proof) enclosure. OPSB vs. ODP - What's the Difference?
None, in practice. OPSB is Baldor's own designation for an open, splash-proof motor, which is the same style of enclosure the rest of the industry calls ODP (open drip-proof). If you are replacing a motor whose nameplate says ODP, OPSB, OPEN or DP, this is the matching enclosure type.
What it means for you: the motor housing has vent openings that let the internal fan pull cooling air directly across the windings, and the openings are shielded so drips and splashes falling from above cannot get in. That makes it run cooler and cost less than a fully enclosed motor, but it is not sealed. Install it indoors in a reasonably clean, dry location, which covers most compressor rooms and shop installations. If the motor will see heavy dust, washdown, chemical mist, or outdoor exposure, choose a TEFC (totally enclosed fan-cooled) motor instead.
