DV Systems Element - Adsorber - DF24V
An activated carbon adsorber element that replaces the carbon cartridge in the DV Systems DF24V housing. The carbon bed captures oil vapor along with the smell and taste that come with it, the fraction of compressor lubricant that stays airborne as a vapor and therefore slips straight through mechanical filtration.
Put this stage last in the treatment train. A carbon element that sees liquid will be used up long before its rated interval, so the coalescing stage in front of it has to be current, and dry air out of your air dryers keeps the bed doing the work it was bought for. Where the air feeds instrument or process loops, one of the desiccant air dryers upstream is the usual pairing.
Replace carbon on time, not on differential pressure. Carbon loses capacity without restricting flow, so the gauge stays quiet while performance falls off. Order to the number printed on the cartridge you remove, and treat DF18, DF24 and the other DF sizes as distinct parts even where a crossover list groups them together.
