DV Systems Coalescing Element - DF135P
A replacement coalescing element for the DV Systems DF135P filter housing. A coalescing cartridge works from the inside out. The airstream carries fine oil and water aerosol into the media, where the droplets merge into drops large enough to fall to the bowl and drain away. That is how oil aerosol comes out of compressed air, and neither a dryer nor a particulate filter does it.
Coalescing filtration sits ahead of everything sensitive. Air heading for a carbon polishing stage, an instrument loop or a paint booth should pass a coalescing element first, and pairing it with your air dryers is what keeps liquid out of the line. Unlike carbon, a coalescing element does tell you when it is finished. Rising differential pressure across the housing is the signal, and a plugged element costs real money in wasted compressor power. Within the DF135 group the trailing letter marks the media grade, so a DF135P and a DF135V are not interchangeable even though they fit the same bowl. Order to the code on the old cartridge.
