DV Systems Coalescing Element - HAF-6
This coalescing element replaces the HAF-6 cartridge in its matching DV Systems housing. The media pulls fine oil and water aerosol out of the airstream by merging small droplets into larger ones that drain to the bottom of the bowl, which is the only practical way to remove aerosol that a particulate filter passes straight through.
Where the element sits in the system determines what it protects. Coalescing goes upstream of carbon polishing, of instrument and control air, and of any finishing work. Watch differential pressure on this one. A coalescing element loads with solids over time and the pressure drop climbs, which shows up on your energy bill before it shows up as poor air quality. Replace it when the drop reaches the housing manufacturer's limit or at the annual interval, whichever comes first, and order by the code on the cartridge you pull.
