This is an equivalent GR 6 grade coalescing element for the Driaire position EC508. It is built to replace the OEM cartridge in the housing that specifies that number, matching seat and length so it seals in the original bowl.
GR 6 is a mid-range coalescing grade, chosen where a general-purpose element leaves too much aerosol behind but the finest media would cost more pressure drop than the system can spare. Other grades and sizes are listed under coalescing filter elements, and air dryers covers the drying stage that usually sits behind the filter.
Elements are consumables and are changed on differential pressure or at the interval in your maintenance plan. Because the grade and the size code both have to match, order against the number printed on the cartridge you are removing.
