This equivalent replacement for the Domnick Hunter ESMK3 carbon bag serves the largest of the three kit sizes in this family. Like the smaller bags, it uses activated carbon to adsorb the oil suspended in condensate drained from a compressed air system before that water is discharged.
Oil and water separators only work as well as the media inside them. A bag that has reached capacity stops adsorbing and starts passing oil straight through, and there is no visible warning that it has happened. Stocking a spare and changing on schedule is the simplest way to keep a condensate program reliable.
This element treats drained liquid, not the air stream itself, so it does not replace in-line filtration. For air quality, look at our compressed air filters and the dedicated range of coalescing air filters.
