DELTECH ELEMENT; CARBON BAG - 180KIT
This is the replacement carbon bag element supplied in the Deltech 180KIT kit. Activated carbon is a polishing stage, used where clean-looking air still carries oil vapor and the smell that comes with it. The carbon holds those molecules on its surface rather than straining them out.
A carbon bed only performs if the air reaching it is already free of liquid oil and water, so the stage in front of it does most of the heavy lifting. Once the carbon reaches capacity it passes vapor through with no change in pressure drop, which is why replacement runs on a calendar rather than a gauge.
